Hollywood Agent – Soldorse Name Bold

Hollywood Agent is a 9yr old chestnut gelding by Hollywood Moonshadow (refer to stallion pg) out of Tyrone Morns Rose (refer to broodmare pg).  He stands 15h high.

Agent is an extremely nice type, with good shoulder and hip.  He has a good length of rein.  He is of a solid build, but is athletic. He is a quick and snappy horse and will excel at barrels, timed events or campdrafting. He has been mustering, done basic patterning exercises, and is well started on barrels.  He has been pulling the tow dummy, and is going very well Breakawaying calves out of the box.  He is a good quiet horse, however whilst he is quite easy going, he would need a fairly experienced rider.  He follows more closely to the Morn Deck nature.

He has attended most of the 2010/some 2011 and most of the 2012 ABHA jackpots thus far, where he has taken it all in his stride.  Lacey has taken him steadily, slowly picking up the pace to  3rd Division.  He done a couple of ATRA Jackpots in 2012, where Lacey has Breakaway Roped on him and he has handled it all really well.  She had such faith in him that she competed on him in the Preliminary Round of the ATRA National Finals and with 2 very quick and solid catches in the Ladies Breakaway, he helped Lacey to win the ‘High Point Lady Roper’ of the National Finals and beautiful Trophy hand made by Nicole Murray.  His 1/2 Sister, “Hollywood Redneck Woman” also helped win Lacey this title.  He has also been flag judged on at a couple of rodeos.

“Agent” has been worked almost totally by our daughter Lacey over the past 3 years whilst juggling work and study, and he is ready to ‘hit the road’ and season him. He is showing much promise as he is snappy in his turn and very athletic with a great stop on him.

Daddy Wood – Sold

“Daddywood” is our first foal for the 2011 by “King Hollywood” (see Stallion page).  He is out of “Dmac Mumma”, a mare by “Dmac Daddy” out of a good Cutting mare.  Due to the purchase of “Phantom of the Roc” in the 2010 season, we bred nearly all of our mares to him, leaving just one for “King” that year and “Daddywood” is his boy.

The photos are taken at 4 months old, and he is growing nicely.  He started off a beautiful brown bay with some chrome however now he is almost black.  He has a good length of rein and a nice sloping shoulder and hip.  He has “King’s” very  pretty head, with his dam’s markings.  He has good strong bone and straight legs.  In other words he has very good conformation!

King is working very well in the competition arena, with many wins in Rodeo Queen, with our daughter, Lacey-Jae at the reins. He is going very consistantly Heeling and Barrel Racing, where he has come up with some wins and places. The 2011 year was to be the year to hit the competition trail, where not long after he won the 3rd Division Buckle at the Talmadge Green Barrel Racing Clinic, he sustained a injury  and didn’t come back into competion until July.  However he still managed to win the ABHA 2nd Division Runner-up Barrel Race and the ‘Most Improved Horse’ for 2011. He has started his Breakaway Roping Career in 2012, with may quick catches and places in both ATRA and CRCA Associations.

“Dmac Mumma” is by the Champion Cutting Horse “Dmac Daddy”, who has sired several winners at Cutting and Challenges, including “One Moore Daddy” and “Whos Ya Daddy” to name a few.  Her Dam is a good cutting mare who was owned and shown by Greg Jolly.  “Dmac Mumma” was broken in and worked, however we purchased her as an outcross mare to breed to “King”.

“Kings” progeny have his great temperament and trainablility, and athleticism, so I think it would be safe to say that “Daddywood” will definately suit the Reining, Cutting, Rodeo and Challenge arenas.

Checks Return – Sold

“Checks Return” is our second colt by AD Collect the Check, out of our great old Hollywood Return daughter – Astras Return. See Broodmare page for her pedigree and Performance history

“Checks Return” has a huge, powerful hindquarter with a nice sloping shoulder and a good length of rein, making him a very well balanced gelding. He is very quiet and well mannered.

“Checks” is a full brother to “Hollywood Gold Card”, who is now in the Roping pen and doing very well. Having competed at major ATRA Jackpots including the Nathional Finals at Capella, and some of the 2012 Rodeo season, including the CRCA Finals. In 2013 he has been hitting a winning streak with several wins with Lacey-Jae aboard. Winning 2 All Girl Team Roping at the Gunnedah Tough Girl Roping, #9 Team Roping at Charters Towers and #7 Team Roping at Chinchilla.  He competed at the 2013 ATRA National Finals, and even Headed some steers there as well.

His sire, AD Collect the Check, is accomplished cutter and successful campdrafter, who was campaigned by Rick Hopkins to many wins and places in 2005. Rick is now campaigning several of his progeny. “AD She is Dun” went to the NCHA Futurity, with the High Score in the first go round, is perhaps his best performed Cutter.  Goldcard’s grandsire, Atoe was a Champion Reiner, and had many winners in this field. Broomfield Freckles Image, who has sired winners in the show, campdraft and rodeo arenas, including Freckles Little Chickasha owned and campaigned by Amanda Watson, was by the immortal Mr Freckles Boy.

His dam, Astras Return, is an own daughter of Hollywood Return, whose list of progeny and their achievements go on and on. Astra has produced winners at Roping, barrel race, campdrafting and polocross, with several youngsters still to make their mark.

He is bred to excel in Cutting, Drafting, Roping, Barrel Racing, Reining but he is also pretty enough to put in the show ring.  He is broken in and going well, he has had several months of mustering and general riding, he is started on basic barrel patterning, and is roping the tow dummy and tracking cattle and breakaway roping. Like his siblings, he should be a very good competition horse in the future.

Rocs Return – Sold

“Rocs Return” is almost a carbon copy of “Rockin’ Morn”, that is because he is nearly the same bloodlines.  By “Phantom of the Roc” (see Stallion page), and out of “Hollywood Morn Rose”, who is out of “Tyrone Morn Rose” and is by “Hollywood Showdown” (see Stallion page).  So like “Rockin’ Morn”, he is bred to Barrel Race!  This colt will be a definate Stud Prospect, and with the over abundance of ‘Cutting’ bloodlines all ready in this country and being imported, he will offer a great out cross to the gene pool on offer today.

As mentioned above, his bloodlines say Barrel Race him. This is because his sire “Phantom of the Roc” was a champion barrel racer, winning the “Holy Grail” of Barrel Racing – Mt Isa. He won the All Round Cowgirl there also with a high placing in the Ladies Breakaway Roping, and went on to win numerous barrel races on the way to the Australian Champion All Round Cowgirl title in 2004.

However the other link in his pedigree is that “Phantom’s” sire “Roc O Lena”, is also the sire of “Traditional Roc”. This horse is the sire of numerous champion Barrel Racers, along with cutters too. The next interesting point in his pedigree is that “Traditional” is out of “Docs Misty Morn” – you guessed it “Morn Deck’s” dam. So this filly is bred similar to “Tradional Roc” and so has Barrel Racing in his genes all the way.

This is not to say that all of the above mentioned horses have produced numerous cutters, ropers and campdrafters, so once again, this colt is versatile enough to perform well at any event.  And of course “Morn Rose’s” sire “Hollywood Showdown”, so add that to the “Morn Deck” and “Roc O Lena” and you get a horse that has the athletic ability and mind to do it all!

“Hollywood Morn Rose” was the first filly that “Tyrone Morn Rose” had produced, so she was retained by the stud and made her way to the broodmare band.  Her first foal, “Hollywood Cartel” has been broken in and is going well  and his full brother is set to be broken in this season.

It is definately safe to say though that “Rocs Return” is a definate Barrel Futurity prospect. These photos are taken at 3 & half months, so watch for more pics of this boy as he matures.
